The Four Most Powerful Questions

Ever have a goal and didn’t know what to do next?

Today, I’m going to share with you 4 of the most powerful questions to ask yourself to achieve anything. After all, to come up with better answers on how to improve an area of your life, first you have to come up with better questions. I encourage you to write these down.

What do I need to do MORE of in order to achieve my goal?

If this is a business goal and you want to increase your sales 50% over the next 12 months ask yourself, what do I need to do MORE of in order to increase my sales 50% over the next 12 months.

What do I need to do LESS of in order to achieve my goal?

Example: What do I need to do LESS of in order to increase my sales 50% over the next 12 months? You’re not stopping it; you’re just doing less of it.

What do I need to START doing in order to achieve my goal?

Example: What do I need to START doing in order to increase my sales 50% over the next 12 months? You have had a great idea and you have always wanted to do it, you just haven’t started yet.

What do you need to STOP doing in order to achieve your goal?

This is the most powerful question. Not less of it, I need to stop it, delete it and get rid of it. Warren Buffet said “I have 100 deals pass my desk every day, I am successful not because of the things I have said yes to, it’s because of the things I have said no to.” That’s the biggest thing that holds our businesses back, are things we need to stop right now.

I love these four questions! One is because they are very basic and two because you can apply them to all areas of your life. If you want to lose 30lbs over the next six months ask yourself those same four questions. What do I need to do more of, less of, start doing, stop doing? I want to improve my relationship at home – what do I need to do more of, less of, start doing, stop doing? I want to purchase my first investment property by the end of the year, what do I need to do more of, less of, start doing, stop doing?

These are also great easy questions you can ask your employees or clients when conducting performance reviews. They work great with kids as well;)

Once you have answered these four questions, you must set a date and create an action plan to achieve it. This is not just for end of the year business planning, you can do this at anytime, so take time to invest in yourself and ask yourself these 4 powerful questions today.

Step into your Greatness!
